I am ready for observing the sky. The star map says that Mercury, Mars and Antares are within a 5° circle ar 18h.
with magnitudes of -0.4, +1.4 and +1.0. I wish I could see it.
I could see the Moon and a bright star. I think it will be Mercury, Mars or Jupiter as mentioned in the almanac (which I had
referred online).
Later it was very cloudy and I couldn't even see the constellations.
I had been reading articles from the Sky and Telescope website. Its really cool as I get a lot of information just by
entering the date and location.
